The LICP difference
- One shop for both EDDM and addressed mail. You do not have to switch vendors when your strategy shifts.
- Variable data is included, not a paid upgrade. Personalize every piece with name, address, offer code.
- 7-day ship window is the same whether you order 500 or 5,000.
- Local pickup in Huntington if your drop date is tight and you want to take the bundle to the post office yourself.
- Real proofs before press, not a render. A defect on our end is a free reprint.
- We work with mail-house partners for full induction if you do not want to handle USPS yourself.
FAQs
Do you handle EDDM and addressed direct mail or just one?
Both. Every Door Direct Mail uses a USPS carrier route, no mailing list, fixed indicia. Addressed direct mail uses a list of names and addresses you provide, with each piece personalized via variable data. We print either format. The product is the same postcard stock, the difference is the indicia, addressing, and how the post office processes the drop.
What size has to be the postcard for EDDM?
USPS EDDM Retail requires a piece at least 6.25" tall or 11.5" long. The standard EDDM size in our catalog is 6.5x9 or 6.5x12. Pieces smaller than the EDDM minimum can still be mailed as addressed standard mail, just not as EDDM.
Can you mail it for me or do I drop it off at the post office?
We print the piece and prep it for either path. For EDDM, you drop the bundles at a Suffolk or Nassau post office that accepts the route you targeted. For addressed mail, we can route the finished job to a mail house partner for processing, postage, and induction into USPS. Ask before you order if you want full mail-house handling.
How do I pick a carrier route for EDDM?
USPS provides an EDDM route map by ZIP. You pick the routes (residential, business, or mixed), get the route IDs and household counts, and we print the bundle slip with those numbers. If you do not want to do this yourself, your local USPS Business Mail Entry Unit will walk you through it.
What turnaround should I plan for an EDDM drop?
Print is 7 days or less from approved proof. Add 2-3 days for you to drop bundles at the post office. USPS delivery on EDDM is typically 3-7 business days from drop, depending on the route. So plan roughly 14-17 days from order to mailbox.
