Saddle stitch (two staples through the spine) is the standard for 8 to ~64 pages. It lies flatter when open and is cheaper. Perfect-bound (square glued spine) starts to make sense at 48+ pages and is the right look for catalogs, lookbooks, and short-run books.
How is page count counted?
Total page count includes the cover. A "16-page saddle-stitch booklet" means 16 printed pages total (front cover, back cover, and 14 interior pages). Page counts must be a multiple of 4 for saddle stitch.
Do you charge extra for design?
