How much do postcards cost?
By Long Island Custom Printing · Huntington, NY · Updated May 2026
TL;DR
Postcards on Long Island cost between $10.95 and ~$250 for a typical small-business order in 2026. The price depends on quantity (50 to 1,000+), size (4x6, 5x7, or 6x9 EDDM), stock and coating (14pt AQ, UV gloss, matte, 18pt lamination), and turnaround. Our standard 14pt AQ postcard starts at $10.95. If you want USPS EDDM mail delivery, postage is separate (~$0.207/piece) — see the EDDM cost guide. What affects the price?
- Quantity. Per-piece cost drops at 250, 500, and 1,000.
- Size. 4x6 is the cheapest standard. 5x7 is the jumbo. 6x9 is the EDDM size — it ships through USPS EDDM if you opt in to mail delivery.
- Stock. 14pt is the default. 16pt is sturdier. 18pt with matte or gloss lamination is the premium feel.
- Coating. AQ (default), UV gloss, matte finish, or specialty foil/spot UV adds.
- Writable C1S stock. One side uncoated so it accepts pen ink — useful for handwritten thank-yous.
- Turnaround. 7 business days standard. Rush options available.
- Mailing (EDDM). Postage is separate — about $0.207/piece for retail EDDM.
How LICP postcard pricing compares
Our postcards print on commercial-grade offset and digital presses with the same stocks and coatings sold by major online printers. The difference is on our end: live pricing on every option, pickup in Huntington for Long Island customers, and a designer you can actually reach. We don't claim "lowest price guaranteed" — we claim commercial-grade quality and honest, real-time pricing.

FAQs
Why does my quote change if I add UV coating?
UV gloss is a separate coating pass added after printing. It bumps the SKU price by a fixed percentage and shows up live on the product page when you toggle it.
Do you charge extra for design?
Only if you need it. Print-ready PDF uploads are free. If we design the postcard for you, Design Services start at $97. See /design-services.
Is shipping included? What about postage if I mail them?
Shipping the postcards to you is calculated at checkout (or free pickup in Huntington). If you want us to mail them through USPS EDDM, postage is separate — about $0.207/piece for retail EDDM. See our EDDM cost guide for the full breakdown.
Are these prices wholesale?
Retail. Trade pricing is available for agencies and recurring commercial customers — contact us.
How long until I get my postcards?
Most postcard orders ship within 7 business days of proof approval. Rush options are available on most SKUs.
